Monroe Health Services - Office Policy

Welcome to Monroe Health Services

We appreciate the opportunity to be your healthcare provider. For new patients and old friends, we would like to update you to our changes. Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 7 am to 4 pm. Tuesday we are here from 9:30 am to 7 pm, and on Friday we are open from 7 am to noon. Services include Internal Medicine and Gerontology, adolescent care, well-woman gynecological care and Dermatology.

Each phone call will be individually evaluated to determine if an appointment is needed. When you are scheduled, please arrive 15 minutes early so that our secretary can verify your insurance card, contact information and photo identification. This is to stop and prevent insurance fraud and to keep us up to date in case of emergency. At each visit, if your insurance requires a co-payment, it will be collected at this time. Please remember to bring your insurance cards to every appointment.

We have contracts with several insurance companies and will bill them directly. If you do not have insurance coverage you are entitled to a 10% discount if you pay in full at the time of service. If you are unable to pay in full, a 50% deposit will be required at each visit. We will help you arrange a payment schedule for the balance. We accept cash, checks, debit cards, and Visa and MasterCard.

Situations can arise and patients are sometimes unable to keep a scheduled appointment. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows an opening for another patient. We will charge $25.00 if a patient does not show for an appointment with less than 24 hours notice.

If you need a prescription refill between appointments, please give 48 hours notice if we need to call it to a pharmacy and 72 hours notice if you need a prescription mailed. Your cooperation is appreciated.

If you are a new patient, we ask that, if possible, have your old medical records transferred before your first appointment. This enables us to review your history in advance and get to know you better when you are in the office. In closing, we look forward to seeing you in our practice.
