Medical Staff
DR. MARK HARRIS started Upper Valley Pediatrics in Bradford in 1977. Dr. Harris attended Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and did his pediatric training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He is the recipient of the 2004 Vermont Pediatrician of the Year Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics, and has received numerous awards for his teaching of Dartmouth medical students.

Dr. Harris' wife Joan is an emergency room nurse at Speare Hospital in Plymouth, NH. The Harris' have two daughters, Kyra and Kate. Kyra just graduated from Bucknell University and will be working in Washington, DC this fall after helping out in the office this summer (2005). Kate is going to be a senior at Georgetown University, majoring in Nursing. The family lives on South Road in Bradford.

CAROL REED is a LPN who graduated from Moore General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for a family physician for 8 years before starting at Upper Valley Pediatrics in 1977. She has two grown daughters who are married and have blest her with eight grandchildren.

She is the office nurse, office manager and care coordinator. She works Monday through Thursday and is available to help meet the needs of the families of Upper Valley Pediatrics.

NANCY FOOTE has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years and has worked at Upper Valley for the last 12 years. Nancy earned a BS in nursing from Fairfield University and a MS from Russell Sage College. She lives with her family in Hartland, VT.
SUSAN FARRELL has practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the past 19 years--12 of them at Upper Valley Pediatrics. Prior to this she was a staff nurse at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and on the nursing faculty at New Hampshire Technical College in Claremont. She received her nursing degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 1979 and a graduate nurse practitioner degree at the University of Penna in 1986.

She resides in Thetford, Vermont with her husband and daughter.

LYNN CHOW has been a nurse practitioner for the past seven years. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Northeastern University and her Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts. She is board certified in both Pediatrics and Family Practice. She has been with Upper Valley Pediatrics for the last four years. Prior to that she practiced at Valley Health Center in East Corinth, Vermont. She currently lives in Norwich with her husband and daughter.
LISA JENSEN is certified as both a nurse-midwife and family nurse practitioner. She has worked at Upper Valley Pediatrics for the past 5 years. Before joining the practice she had a midwifery practice in Littleton, NH, and worked as a CNM at Harbour Women's Health in Portsmouth, NH. Her experience also includes teaching for Stony Brook University in their graduate, distant education, midwifery and family nurse practitioner programs. She is currently teaching first and second year Dartmouth medical students in their On Doctoring course.

Lisa has a special interest in International Health. She spent the summer of 2004 in Kosovo working on the development of a health care program for pregnant women. During the summer of 2005 she spent a month in Afghanistan working with midwives. She regularly goes to a village in Honduras to provide medical care through the organization, American Caring, Teaching and Serving (ACTS).
Many of the pictures in the office are from Lisa's travels.

She has two grown children and loves outdoor activities.
